The last PIBMUG meeting was a fund raiser for Eliot Adopt-A-School. Generous PIBMUG members raised $4070 for the school.
All PIBMUG members were showered with a custom printed shopping bag filled with:
- "Farewell PIBMUG" CD (includes PIBMUG retirement speech, 1990 PCTV
video, 1988 Bill Gates meeting, PIBMUG photos, and collection of video
shown at PIBMUG).
- One Symantec/Norton product.
- McAfee Viruscsan 8.0.
- Reallusion CrazyTalk, the one you saw demoed at PIBMUG.
- Another randomly chosen product, t-shirt, or, gizmo, (including such
items as WordPerfect Office 2002, Zone Alarm, and, well, tons and tons of
good stuff).
PIBMUG's site will remain available though late March and will likely evolve into a site for Steve Bass to showcase short product reviews, funny videos and images, and other PIBMUG-type nonsense. A listing of the time-wasting files is still available.
