Windows 3.1x MTU, RWIN, MSS, RTO settings;
1. Start Windows 3.1x. Close all open applications.
2. Start Trumpet winsock.
Select: File and Setup
(You should see that the Internal PPP box is checked. NOT the Internal SLIP
box. If it is you are not using PPP and this change is not for you!)
3. Click on MTU. Change the 1500 value to 1024. If you don't see a speed
difference with 1024 try 552.
Make sure that:
TCP RWIN = 2048
TCP MSS = 512
TCP RTO MAX = 60
If they do not -- change them.
4.Click OK. Click File and Exit.
5. Reboot your computer to have the changes take affect.
